Farmer’s Market, City Park: A photo tour

I arrived a little before 8, when it opens, thinking I’d avoid lines. Think again.

The crowd assembles early

One end of the market is all food trucks, largely ethnic. So many aromas! So many choices!

Oh, the pastries! The freshly brewed coffee!

Shouldn’t buy these…

Root veggies galore. So much tastier than grocery store veggies.

My haul for that week (early July) included the first cherries. They peaked the next week and were gone the week after. The pastries, which seem to have disappeared, are not in the photo.

Nothing like fresh

It wouldn’t be Denver if there weren’t a morning yoga class on its fringes. Getting into downward facing dog pose. Great hamstring stretch. Arm strengthener.

The most Denver thing I saw…

Now I’m hungry! looks like a lovely market; I need to find a local one. It’s been years.
